Snow leopards adaptations and how it lives.

The most vicious fastest animal on rocks in the whole of Asia  is a mammal that lives in mountains of Central Asia where the temperature is really cold and there are very few plants and a lot of rocks.

Body

The Snow Leopard’s fur is really thick and soft to survive in the coldness they also have really really thin white and brown whiskers with a Pink nose and large lungs to help them breathe in low altitude.

Diet

The Snow leopard’s likes eating Yaks, Asses, Sheep, goats and birds. They also have really big sharp clean teeth.

Structural Adaptations

The snow leopards structural adaptation is it finds a mountain then if it thinks it looks pretty good it will go to the rocks and feel it to see how sharp it is and if it is sharp he will leave and try to find a new home or if it in nice and smooth it will stay to make it his home.

Another one is that the Snow leopard will feel how Cold it is and if it thinks it feels good it will stay and live there.

Our year 5 production reflection

Our year 5 production was a blast we had so much fun rehearsing and learning our scripts my roll was a sweeper I had to carry two people of the stage one of the was the queen victoria and the other was Henry Parkes. My costume was a yellow outfit and I had a broom.

My production was about Australian history and Australian things hundred years ago some of it is made up but some of it is real and it is really funny.

I would shout out to Leo who played captain cook he was really funny and brave two speak so enthusiastically.

My favourite highlight of the play was me carrying people of the stage and saying one of my line which was when one of the tea lady’s Sid she could not find her glasses my line was (Should of gone two Specsavers!).

I showed growth by stepping outside my comfort zone and doing things I didn’t really want to do. Because I am usually a shy person but this production helped me to develop to not be shy.

Our producer was Ms Quodling she was the best because she helped me and others two make us get everything together and Learn our lines and everything.

My partner AKA the other sweeper was Georgie and she did well working with me. She helped me learn my lines and we both new when we were on stage.

At the end of the production we sang a song called the eye of the needle It is a old catchy convict song.

Have you ever been In a play if you have tell me what it was like?

Favourite book chat book for 2019

My favourite book chat book is one called restart its about a boy called chase who fell of a roof and hit his shoulder a split second before his head so he got amnesia then he had to restart his life. He was a bully in his first life so then everyone in his school avoided him but in his second life he is really nice so he tries to be friends with everyone. While he is still trying to remember his mums own name.

If  chase hit his head before he hit his shoulder he would of died so he was very lucky.

I recommend this book for year 5 and over because it is a bit sad.

so what is your favourite book?

Week 7 blogging challenge

My family celebrate Greek Easter it’s when all of our family that is greek come together and eat a big meal together.

The mail includes lamb on a spit, Bita which is a Greek pastry with spinach and cheese. We all go to my Yaya’s house which is really big and they have a pool so it’s fun. There are 18 people in my Greek side of the family who come to the Greek Easter lunch. They are my cousins, uncles and aunties. One of my uncles usually brings ice cream from his gelato shop for dessert after the lunch and of course presents! My Yaya and Papou give me and others chocolate. We paint boiled eggs red and blue and we play a little Greek Easter tradition game which is when there is two people and they both have a egg and smash each other using the bottom or top and the winner is when your egg is not smashed and everyone else’s is.

                 That’s my family Greek Easter.

So what is your favourite holiday?

Camp Toonalook Reflection

We went on a camp or should I say the best camp ever Toonalook had more things to do than a theme park we did, kyaking, bike riding, king ball, gaga ball, fishing, and dont forget all the nice kind teachers. The bus ride was 3 or 4 hours long imagine that but it was totally worth it. We split up in 2 groups and did all these different activities like the ones I said before. My cabin was the best there where two people called billy and duncan who I did not really know well so we chated for about and then we became friends. After the first night the next day we went camping and my tent was me nic and tom I think we talked to much at night but it was fun hanging out with them. All the food there was amazing like lasagne, tacos and burgers but of course seeing my. parents was a good part as well.

have you ever gone on camp if you did let me know.

My Hard Road Ahead

This Term we have been doing a Unit called Hard Road Ahead. We learnt about the gold rush back in the 1850s and we also learnt about Sovereign Hill. Ok about the gold rush we learnt about the Eureka stockade, The Eureka stockade it a thing where miners and women build a stockade out of sticks and they had guns they waited until the red coats and police came to attack so they can fight because the miners had to pay a lot for mining  so they can find gold to sell and get money. Unfortunately the miners lost the battle but they did not win the war.   Eventually the miners got their rights so they didn’t have to pay for gold licenses.

We made dioramas about Sovereign Hill me and my partner made a store at Sovereign Hill called T. Murphy Californian Tent Makers. We also made the Empire States Bowling Saloon it was really fun. Once we finished our dioramas our parents came to look at them and we drove a Sphero robot to drive around our dioramas. But sadly I was sick so I couldn’t come.

Now on to camp we went to camp at Sovereign Hill it was the best camp ever we went on a trip to a super cool sound and light show they showed what happened on the gold fields in the 1850s. When it was bedtime my cabin was me, Nicholas, Patrick, Leo and Harvey they were the best. At Sovereign Hill we went to school there dressed up as kids from the 1850s we wore Nickerbockers, neckerchiefs and checkered shirts we learnt our 17 times tables. And one time the inspector came in to see what we were learning.

Do you know anything about the 1850s

Sovereign Hill Dioramas

Hi there,

this term we have been learning about Sovereign Hill and making dioramas of it. We also made maps for getting around Sovereign Hill. These two videos are about mapping and Sovereign Hill buildings. Please enjoy.

Have you ever been to Sovereign Hill? How would you go giving someone directions?

My sovereign Hill Map

Hello,

This Term we have been to Sovereign Hill and learnt about the Australian gold rush and Eureka stockade. When we got back from Sovereign Hill we made dioramas of buildings there and made a map of all the building in a birds eye view perspective.

This map includes a scale, compass and a grid reference.

Do you know anything about Sovereign Hill? if you do tell me.
